Industrial Portrait Session | Calgary

Earlier this year I really struggled with the winter blues. It was a huge time of learning and growth, steeped in self-care and reflection. One of the biggest things that my soul was needing during this time was connection and creation with humans in love. I had been wanting to work with Sarah and Max for some time, so this was the perfect opportunity.

Being a creative is a beautiful and wonderful thing. The chance to connect so closely with hearts in love and to truly witness love in all of its forms is beyond special. It can also be isolating, the comparison game circling through your head daily, “not good enough” a common sentence. It caused me to dig deep, inward, inspiring reflection and so much learning.

I am so thankful for my husband, family and my community for reminding me that Im never alone, and certainly not the only creative/human to feel this way. Thank you to Sarah and Max, and everyone who collaborated with me on creative sessions this year so far, you are the bees knees.
